At K’s Kubz Childminding, I offer flexible, high-quality childcare in a calm, home-from-home setting. Care is tailored to each child’s individual needs, routines and stage of development, supporting children to feel safe, settled and confident.

I provide care for children from birth to school age, with a strong focus on emotional well-being, independence and learning through play.

I offer a range of childcare options to suit different family needs, subject to availability:

• Full-day care
  A balanced day including play-based learning, outdoor time, rest and meals.

• Part-day care
  Morning or afternoon care arranged to suit your child’s routine.

• Term-time & non-term-time care
  Options available depending on availability and family requirements.

Attendance patterns and care arrangements are discussed individually to ensure they suit both the child and the setting.

What’s Included in Childminding Care

All childcare placements include:

• A small, home-based setting with consistent routines

• Play-based learning aligned with the EYFS

• Daily outdoor play and fresh air

• Nutritious meals and snacks are provided in line with healthy eating guidelines, promoting balanced nutrition and positive eating habits. Food hygiene and safety are always prioritised.
  If parents prefer to provide their own food, it must also meet the same healthy eating guidelines, and any dietary requirements, allergies or preferences must be discussed beforehand.

• Regular communication and updates with parents

• A gentle, child-led settling-in process

Learning Through Play

Children are supported through a wide range of age-appropriate activities, including:

• Creative play and arts & crafts

• Sensory and messy play experiences

• Early communication and language development

• Outdoor exploration and nature play

• Baking, role play and everyday life skills

Activities are thoughtfully planned to encourage curiosity, confidence and independence, while allowing children to learn at their own pace.

Messy Play Sessions

Alongside my childminding services, I also offer Messy Play Sessions, which are available separately and open to families outside of my childcare setting.

These sessions are designed to encourage sensory exploration, creativity and confidence through hands-on play in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Messy play activities may include:

• Sensory trays and textures

• Painting, mark-making and creative materials

• Themed messy play setups

• Water, sand and natural resources

Messy play supports early development by helping children explore using their senses, build fine motor skills and express themselves freely.

Sessions are suitable for babies and young children and are a fun opportunity for children to play, explore and enjoy new experiences.

• Childminding care is offered Monday to Friday, subject to availability

• The setting operates for 48 weeks of the year

• Closed on Bank Holidays

• Hours and attendance patterns are agreed individually
